Values

Personal values are the core beliefs and philosophies that you hold about life. You will begin to define your personal values and learn how to respect the values of others. You will learn that once you define your personal value system, it will be easier to make moral decisions. You will be encouraged to take a deep look at your personal value system.


Dealing with Anger

Of course, we all feel angry at times in our lives. It's just a part of life. In this course, you will learn what triggers your anger and the sources of your anger. You will also learn to develop new responses when you get angry so that you will have successful outcomes.


Dealing with Disappointments

We all have disappointments at different times in our lives. How do you handle your disappointments? This course will teach you how to be grateful and turn your disappointments into opportunities!


Positive Attitude

A positive attitude is built on gratitude, resilience, outward appearance and a good support system. You will learn strategies that will cultivate a positive mindset when things go wrong. You will also learn that many times you can’t control bad things that will happen in life, but what you can have 100% control over is your attitude.


Work Ethic

Students learn that a strong work ethic is built on dedication, discipline, dependability and the ability to "do work"; This course equips students with strategies that will build the habits they need to keep going, to not only get the job done, but to get it done with excellence.


Self - Control

In this lesson you will learn how to use self-control, avoid the pitfalls of retaliation and instant gratification all while building positive habits that will build your brand.


Knowledge Is Power

You will learn why school and learning new things is so important, and why the things that you learn NOW will help you for the rest of your life!. The more knowledge you have, the more confident, independent and capable you will become. You will also learn about passion and possible career choices.


Leadership

NFL QB, Kyle Lauletta talks about the 3 components of Leadership: leading by example, thinking of others, and having integrity. This course is very inspiring and engaging as it's taught from an athlete who has overcome some adversity too become the leader he is today, on and off the field.


Smart Goals

Setting SMART goals will change your life! In this course, you will learn why setting SMART goals will lead to success. You will learn how to set goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-bound.


The Money Game Program

The 4 main topics discussed are: Saving, Planning, Spending and Giving. These 4 topics will help to shake some of the misconceptions and fears you may have about finances, while also developing the tools that you can use every day to stay financially healthy. Regardless of background or financial situation you were raised in, you will quickly realize that the keys to your financial future are in your very own hands. YOU are in control of your own “MONEY GAME.”


The Substance Abuse and Sensibility Program

Upon course completion, you will know yourselves better, will know what triggers drug and alcohol use, and will have good strategies in place to say NO when faced with peer pressure. You will also learn the physical, emotional and mental harm that these substances can have on your body and how drug use not only affects you, but effects loved ones around you as well.


Teamwork

When people come together as a team, share a dream, and focus on reaching their goals together, there’s a very good chance they’ll accomplish what they set out to do. In this course, inspired by the Blue Angels, students learn the basic principles of teamwork that will teach them how to work together in many aspects of their lives. Former Major League baseball player, Tino Martinez, opens up the course with a powerful testimonial on what Teamwork means to him.


How You Learn

Have you ever tried really hard to memorize something and it just won't stick? Have you ever thought it was impossible to learn a certain concept? The fact is, everyone has difficulty learning at some point in their lifetime. In this course, you will find out what learning style you prefer, and then learn how to apply it in the classroom and when you study. It will make your learning experience so much better, less frustrating and lead you too success!


The Mental Health Program

Students will be able to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health disorders as well as the prevention of these disorders. Students will learn how to reduce the stigma around mental health disorders. They will also be made aware of available resources and the process for accessing treatment. Strategies to support a peer, friend, or family member with a mental health disorder and healthy coping techniques will be taught as well.


Time Management

Developing a system for managing your time can be the single thing that can make you or break you as a student. You will find that when you take the time to manage your time, you actually end up with more time! Not only that, but you will end up with a peace of mind knowing that you have budgeted your time well and your heart won't be racing, worrying that you have forgotten something important. Mastering this skill will take some time, so let's take this first step now.


Bullying

When students are bullied by their peers, they’re at a much higher risk for low self-esteem, anxiety, stress, depression, and even suicidal thoughts. The bullies don’t fare very well either. This course takes an in-depth look at both bullies and their victims, bullying prevention strategies, bullying intervention, cyberbullying, bullying and disabilities, why we must do something, and teen psychology.


Citizenship

In this course, Citizenship, students will understand that displaying good or poor citizenship will have a lasting impact on their lives. Students will also understand the importance of being honest, trustworthy, and responsible and what these traits look like in a good citizen. Students will have experience with possible responses to issues concerning digital citizenship and online behavior.


Teen Dating Dangers

In this course, we will cover Gender Violence which includes sexual assault, rape, dating violence, stalking and harassment. Also, men will learn what being a “REAL MAN” entails, how developmental changes may potentially lead to aggression, and the consequences of actions. Women will learn about the aftermath of violence, the “Shame Game”- why girls don’t report and strategies for keeping yourself safe.


Internet Safety

You will learn to be cautious of things that lurk on the “dark side” of the web and learn to follow the safety guidelines.


Life In the Classroom

Life in the classroom can be challenging and it takes a big chunk of your day! If you are spending roughly 7 hours a day in the classroom, don't you want to make the best of it? You will learn what you CAN and CAN'T control in the classroom, how to deal with distractions and how to win your teacher over!


Building Your Brand

Building Your Brand introduces you to the concept that your personal brand is who you are, how people remember you and what sets you apart from everyone else. You will also be introduced to the concept of rebranding which is something that can be done by anyone at any time. All it takes is the desire to be better.
